Dear Colleagues and Friends,you are cordially invited to participate at the 14th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Computing and Technology in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (ESCTAIC), which will be held in Berlin (Germany) between the 2nd and 4th of October 2003. The ESCTAIC dates back to 1989 when a small group of technology and computing enthusiats decided to organise a forum between clinical anaethesiology and technical disciplines, electronics, engineering and ergonomics. This initiative proved to be very productive. Since then more than a dozen succesful meetings have been performed and the community of technologically interested anaesthesiologists and intensivists as well as medical oriented technicians and engineers is steadily growing.
